Responding to speculations among fans, Nadine Lustre and Christophe Bariou set the record straight, stressing that they have yet to be engaged.
Engagement speculations earlier hounded the couple after Lustre shared a note from Bariou about discovering and conquering the world together.

The couple talked about several topics during the livestream, including their take on announcing engagement.
View this post on Instagram“If you would propose to me, would we announce it or we’re gonna keep it private—I said, honestly, it doesn’t really matter,” Lustre said. “Because I feel like if we have our friends around, I feel like they’re gonna be the first ones to post.”

“Before we leave, one last thing—” Lustre said, to which Bariou continued, “We’re not engaged.”

Lustre and Bariou’s relationship was confirmed to the public in January 2022.
