As the unrest in Bangladesh continuestamabet, the country's central bank has announced it will be printing new currency notes under the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. These notes will be printed without the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - a key figure in the formation of Bangaldesh.
Furthermore, the row between India and Bangladesh continues to escalate. As per latest reports, Bangladesh has recalled its acting high commissioners from the Kolkata and Agartala missions in India.

Bangladesh To Print New Currency NotesBangladesh Bank is printing new notes, the Dhaka Tribune reported. As per the local daily, the central bank will be printing new notes ofTaka 20, 100, 500, and 1,000 on instructions from the interim government.
The new notes will erase the image Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - Sheikh Hasina's father and a key founding father of the country. The new notes will instead feature images from the student protests from July this year.
“The new notes will not include image of 'Bangabandhu' Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” the paper reported, quoting the bank.
The protests across Bangladesh questioned and scrutinised the legacy of Mujibur Rahman. During the July uprising, many protestors toppled statues and vandalised murals of the "founding father."

Row With India EscalatesAmid the row with India, Bangladesh has reportedly recalled its heads of the Kolkata and Agartala missions. As per a report by Prothom Alo, the acting deputy high commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata, Shikdar Md Ashrafur Rahman, and the assistant high commissioner in Tripura, Arifur Rahman, have been instructed to return to Dhaka on a "urgent basis".
The Bengali daily also added that the Kolkata head as returned to Dhaka and the Tripura mission head is expected to return soon.
The recall of diplomats comes a day after demonstrators broke into the Bangladesh High Commission in Agartalatamabet, Tripura to protest against the ongoing violence against Hindu minorities.
